You have the hugely-powerful OSMM Topography dataset available to you, but its initial format (GML) is unusable. To turn this into usable and styled data, in a format that suits your needs, incredibly time-consuming processes need to be completed. An extra level of complication is added if you need to load your data onto a database.

How the app works…

The Topo Optimiser app takes the OS MasterMap Topography layer, in its unusable GML format, and translates it into a range of spatial formats. Once your data is translated into SHP, TAB, MIF/MID or AutoCad (DXF, DWG), it can be loaded into a GIS or CAD system.

As with the other DataFlow apps, the complex workings are hidden behind a user-friendly interface, allowing un-trained users operate it. An upgrade is available to allow you to load your output data into Oracle, SQL, or PostGIS databases.
