Bristol City Council needed a solution to automate the update of 200+ spatial datasets, and upload them into their Corporate GIS Oracle database.

The process of updating and loading the Council’s spatial datasets into the central database was time-consuming and resource-hungry.

The Solution

The team at Miso developed a solution using FME Desktop, which was capable of consuming significant volumes of spatial data, and automating the entire update process.

The final workflow was also able to then load the updated datasets directly into the Council’s corporate Oracle database.
