The dataset used by A-one+ for asset management and maintenance planning contained low-quality information. This was caused by the poor quality of the original dataset, historical data transfers, and resource-intensive manual data entry.
Manually inputting data was repetitive and time-consuming, meaning that the process was inefficient and prone to human error.
Miso created a solution using FME. The solution highlighted relevant assets within the user-configurable tolerance area, ignoring assets lying outside of this.
The second part of the solution merged asset information from the primary database, secondary repository and disparate maintenance records. The data was collated within the tolerance area before automating the uploading process to the primary database.
