On Cloud 9 – Miso’s FME World Tour Event

Over the years, miso has established a bit of a reputation for delivering events with a difference – and their 2016 FME World Tour was no exception! The day was a huge success, with delegates rating it as one of the best events they’d ever attended.
Never ones for standing still, miso works hard to make each event bigger and better than previous years. This year, they focussed on FME Cloud and making the most of web services. The team were joined by Brett Madsen live from Australia and Ken Bragg from Safe Software. The latter discussed his pick of the highlights from the latest release of FME.
The event featured hands-on team tasks where delegates helped the FBI (FME Bureau of Investigation) to track down a crafty Banker. To do this they used custom-built workbenches – cue competitiveness, toy planes, and obligatory foam dart guns!
While miso ensured the event was as much fun as possible, the aim of the day was that everyone left with new ideas and concepts to apply themselves.
Andrew Grubb from Surrey Police said, “Although surrounded by seasoned FME Professionals, I felt that my opinion mattered and everyone was friendly. People were keen to chat about their experiences using FME for a variety of purposes. Miso were very professional and made the event flow, and I felt I got the most out of the day.”
